History
Formerly known as Metromold, the company was originally formed in 1991 by two injection moulding professionals, with over 40 years experience in the industry. Based in North Shield, the company focused mainly on the highly skilled manufacture of thin walled components for the production of hearing aid batteries. The company grew quickly in size and reputation, gaining its first quality standard ISO9001, in 1994
The company moved to new premises in 1995 and steadily grew into the electronics and Automotive sectors within the North East. Developing the steady growth we moved into a larger premises in 2010 introducing larger machines as demand has dictated and improving our reputation for delivering on time, with quality and service second to none.
The company was bought out in the summer of 2016 by Norfran Ltd, a high pressure die casting company based in the local area. Norfran Plastics now have the backing to invest for future growth and the obvious synergies between the two companies, will allow for a greater technical ability and diversity of products, to be made all by one group of companies.
